Cloud Engineer -Remote
Iron Mountain is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer, Technology Operations (TechOps) & Enterprise Architecture (EA) to join our Global Technology Enterprise Architecture & Platforms organization.
The Cloud Architect will be in the Enterprise Architecture and Platforms organization under Global Technology, providing security engineering for all of Iron Mountains Cloud native and hybrid programs.
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with the development teams, Cloud Operations teams, and Enterprise Architecture group to ensure compliance with internal and external security requirements. The position requires strong technical skills, working with teams of engineers to ensure compliance in all aspects of the development lifecycle. The cloud architect is accountable for working with teams to harden cloud services, conducting security gap analysis, creating work plans for adhering to security requirements, developing security controls and threat models.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in security compliance and working with software engineer teams. Experience with cloud architectures and compliance concerns is required (GCP, Amazon, Azure), and exposure to Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platforms is desired.
Participate in design discussions about the technical implementation and raise security concerns
Work with enterprise security team as a representative of the Cloud Operations program
Define detective/corrective controls for adoption of cloud functionality/platforms
Update and tailor security policy and detection rules in CSPM platform
Define a security roadmap / plan for a new cloud based project and work with teams to gain compliance
Work with vendors and third parties to ensure compliance with Iron Mountain requirements
Develop training for development and product teams to enhance security knowledge for cloud workloads
Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills with a track record of delivering production grade systems in a team environment
Motivated individual who learns quickly, has pride in building a new product and can engage others to accelerate technical solutions
Ability to define a security roadmap / work plan for a new cloud based project
Proven understanding of security controls at the systems, network and application level
Experience with modern collaboration tools such as Gitlab, Git, Google Workspace
Strong experience with scripting/configuration management languages such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
Experience in working with distributed teams
Experience working with agile scrum methodologies
Experience with security compliance in modern cloud / REST API based systems
1 year of experience with Google Cloud Platform highly desired
Experience working with NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, or any security frameworks is desired
- 5+ years in Cloud Security
- BS, MS or MBA from accredited/recognized university preferred, or equivalent work experience
