OPPORTUNITY - Design Researcher - Remote

Design Thinking begins with deep empathy and understanding of the needs and motivations of people. Iron Mountain is in search of an experienced Design Researcher who is passionately curious about solving problems, surfaces great insights, and who can collaborate within a design team to create human-centered products and services.

You will be working on the HOTTEST project within our innovation practice that includes working with the biggest sports leagues, entertainment companies, healthcare and financial institutions in the world. You will have tremendous autonomy and influence over the direction of the project, and be partnering with a world class team. This is a radically different, innovative lifestyle-oriented product that you must inquire to learn about.

YOU'LL GET TO

  • Work within a small multidisciplinary pod, made up of designers, engineers, brand and business strategists, and other hybrid experts.

  • Lead the research portion of the project including expert, user & customer interviews.

  • Translate learnings into powerful insight to support the launch of new product pilots.

  • Explore diverse human and business behavior and develop a deep understanding of the intersection between people, business and technology.

  • Work with the biggest sports teams & leagues in the world to create innovative new lifestyle oriented premium products.

  • Work remotely anywhere in the US with the opportunity to convert to full time employment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 7+ years of qualitative research experience in all stages of the process (scoping a research process, leading fieldwork, conducting in-context interviews, performing desk research, synthesizing insights and providing direction as a result of the research.)

  • Can connect research to design by translating research insights into tangible new business models, products, and services offerings.

  • Experience in using data to find and/or support a story

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.

  • High comfort level in working within a self-directed culture and navigating ambiguity.

  • BONUS: Experience working within the broadcasting and/or TV production industry
