Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) specializing in Government Service
Reports to: Senior Director, Operations & Strategic Programs
Location: Remote (Washington, D.C. Metro Area preferred)
The Information System Security Engineer’s primary focus will be in the following three areas: Information Security System Architecture, Design and Engineering requiring TS and SCI clearances; FISMA/NIST compliance managing Federal Agency deliverables and CMMC certification; and Automation through API integration. This requires flexibility in managing different Business, IT/IS, Compliance and Regulatory priorities - excellent documentation, planning and communication abilities - a desire to develop the skills to implement all elements of NIST-CSF and CMMC frameworks.
Active government clearance (TS / SCI preferred)
Manage CMMC certification process and documentation to Level 3 or higher specifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
ISSM certification with demonstrated report/documentation experience
5+ years of cyber-security experience in the following areas - Federal Agency Projects, Identify and Access Management, Data Governance, Policy Compliance, STRIDE analysis, Penn Tests (Static/ Dynamic), Firewall Management, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Encryption, Web-filtering and Advanced Threat Protection
In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800 series specifically 800-53 Cyber Security Framework and 800-171 Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations. Comfortable with FISMA and FedRAMP engagements
Active experience working ATO processes with government agencies
Experience with Tenable IO/SC, Firemon, Crowdstrike, Okta, Thycotic, Verodin, Veracode.Scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell, etc) a plus
API integration experience is a plus
CISSP is a plus
CCSP is a plus
Experience with Cloud technologies including GCP, AWS, Azure, etc, is a plus
