ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…

As Iron Mountain continues its digital transformation, we are growing out our Enterprise Data Platform Team, directly supporting all business intelligence, analytics and data integration solutions at Iron Mountain. This team is responsible for design, development and implementation of data platform components used to deliver our data solutions. Our Salesforce Technology Lead would need advanced knowledge of Salesforce, software development experience, and strong SQL skills. The ideal candidate for this role has a background in software development and Salesforce that is comfortable in a remote working environment supporting hybrid on-shore/off-shore engineering teams.

YOU'LL GET TO…

  • Oversee the entire development lifecycle for one or more scrum teams of software engineers and testers

  • Review coding for a group of software engineers to ensure alignment with business needs, change control procedures, and platform development standards ( Config vs. Customize )

  • Collaborate with Scrum Team Solution Architect and provide technical advice to Product Owners, Product Managers and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Scrum Team on estimating level-of-effort, timing, and feasibility, to design new features and users stories based on business requirements, and to optimize system and program functionality

  • Mentor junior team members in Salesforce technology, Force.com, Integration Technologies, and Salesforce best practices

  • Develop and document team coding standards

  • Participate in interviewing new Developers and Testers ( Partners and FTEs )

  • Leading the Dev Team

  • Owning the Sprint Deliverables

SFDC RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Advocate for platform development standards ( Config vs. Customize )

  • Enable continuous delivery

  • Coordinate with Centralized Release Mgmt team on promoting the code across diff environments all the way to Production

  • Understand all the new quarterly features releases of Salesforce and collaborate with scrum team on new features that can be enabled quickly in our instance

  • Follow the basic standard of Salesforce like error or exception handling, trigger design pattern, Bulkification with proper limit with all best practices.

  • Always think about future maintenance as a priority before doing any configuration or customization-related work. (Low Maintenance effort and dynamic code)

  • Resolving any knowledge gap / skill set mismatch within the team.

  • Reduce the tech debt in the area assigned to and report tech debt reduction data to Product Management on Quarterly basis

AGILE RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Lead User Stories and Features effort estimation ( Sizing ) with the team and helping the team with new estimation techniques

  • Assist scrum team(s) SA on Features/User stories solutioning

  • Make sure that User Stories are completed within a Sprint and Features are completed within a PI

  • Assign User Stories/Tasks to dev/test team members based on their skillset

  • On Sprint basis, update the SM with the availability of all Dev/Testers during a sprint

  • Monitor team(s) velocity

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE..

  • 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience on the Force.com platform

  • Great problem solving and debugging skills

  • Proven skill in interfacing with users to build dynamic applications within Salesforce

  • Experience with design and code reviews, test-driven development, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • In-depth knowledge of APEX with a strong experience in using developer toolkit including Apex Classes,Controllers, and Triggers

  • Proficiency with SOQL & SOSL

  • Working knowledge of Lightning Web Components and Javascripts

  • Optimizing Salesforce (Declarative, Apex Coding, Lightning Components) with knowledge of Best Practices understanding on Coding Standards, Deployment, Apex, Salesforce Integration, Security implementations.

  • Experience on Service cloud,Experience cloud

  • Research and develop new salesforce.com prototypes and applications
