Senior Program Manager

Iron Mountain’s Global Digital Solutions (GDS) group is hiring an experienced Program Manager. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced organization whose mission is to create and drive new product offerings and innovative ideas - specifically for Iron Mountain verticals. The Program Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing several cross-functional programs. This strategic role will also include managing tools and internal sites, updating program plans, assisting in managing and driving the teams to launch, and managing through the steady state phases.

The Program Manager owns successful delivery of high impact & cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects. You will closely collaborate with a variety of cross functional teams in bringing all programs and projects to successful completion. You will also partner with our Product Managers in driving strategic alignment of our Go-to-Market readiness for new and revised market offerings. The Program Manager understands our business and its objectives, and then brings solutions to market to solve the business problems in a very ambiguous, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. It relies on influence, adaptability and ingenuity over authority to drive project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define program strategy and requirements

  • Own successful delivery of high impact and cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects

  • Lead resource planning efforts across the Product Management & Product Development team

  • Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on the plans, status, risks and critical issues

  • Prioritize work in partnership with Product Managers and Organizational Leadership

  • Creates and prepares documentation, reporting and metrics

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve our go-to-market capabilities and speed

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve product delivery capabilities within an agile development environment

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5-10 years of industry experience in a senior program manager role

  • Extensive product lifecycle and program management experience

  • Proven program leader experienced in managing a geographically dispersed team of employees This position interlocks with many organizations including Engineering, Sales, Sales/Product Enablement, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal and IT

  • Proven experience leading and directing teams through crisis situations

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies

  • Program Management experience in readying a product for marketplace launch is required

  • Owns and manages delivery according to planned schedule on one or more high risk and complex projects

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills; clear & concise communications at multiple levels is key

  • Communicates openly and operates with integrity and respect for others

  • Solid process improvement background with hands on experience in agile development practices

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Effective time & prioritization management

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across a wide range of functional groups and work streams

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skill sets

  • Working knowledge of Jira and Aha! tools a plus

  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred, but not required
