Iron Mountain’s Global Technology Organization is looking for a Release Train Engineer who will be responsible for facilitating the Agile release train events and processes and steering the teams to success while navigating the complexity of delivering software in a large, cross-functional environment.
An ideal candidate for this role must be a passionate, team-oriented servant leader and coach for the Agile teams. He/She will demonstrate a hybrid of business and technical acumen and understanding of consumer centricity to enable digital experiences.
Skills & Competencies:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a large Enterprise Technology Organization in Program management, Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer roles
Experienced in software development lifecycle (SDLC) including defect tracking and requirement management systems (e.g., Jira, Gitlab, Confluence, etc.)
Extensive understanding of Agile methodology. Previous experience implementing Agile is highly preferred
Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer is strongly preferred
SAFe or Scrum Alliance SAFe Agilist, RTE certification preferred
Manage and optimize the flow of business value through the ART
Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
Facilitate Scrum of Scrum calls to track progress, discuss dependencies, and resolve cross-team impediments.
Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics
Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle
Work with the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) on program execution and operational excellence (Lean Portfolio Management)
Understand and operate within Lean Budgets
Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and and help them improve
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field required
