Sourcing Manager, Global Procurement - Remote
Iron Mountain is seeking a procurement and strategic sourcing professional to join a progressive Global Procurement organization and will provide dedicated support to our Adjacent Businesses --which provide storage and transportation services in the Fine Art, Film and Sound, and Consumer Storage industries.
The Sourcing Manager , Global Procurement will be responsible for leading specific initiatives and strategies in line with overall regional and global procurement category management strategies, opportunity assessments, and sourcing/negotiation activities. Additionally, this individual will enable localized and/or business specific vendor performance management for key vendor relationships and other procurement programs.
This role provides value to the organization by improving procurement service delivery, identifying new opportunities and lowering total cost of ownership in the purchase of goods and services. This role reports directly into the Director of Technology Procurement within the Global Procurement Organization and indirectly to the Global Technology Organization.
Lead & facilitate strategic sourcing spanning across a wide variety of spend categories involving representatives from various business areas to drive strategy
Leads Sourcing Strategy for high visibility transformational technologies with regular updates to the Sourcing Director
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments that benefit.
Assessing how technology can be used to disrupt existing industry structures and economics, enable new service offerings, streamline processes, and reduce costs
Sourcing of vendors, familiarity and/or interest in emerging technology focusing on related third party cloud services and cloud management tools, ability to gain understanding of industry to make educated recommendations about pricing, vendor selection, competition, market compression, optimization, etc.
Manage the contract portfolio for an entire category, including contracting, compliance, and value / spend analysis.
Executes end-to-end large scale sourcing initiatives directly and in partnership with internal customers
Conduct regular supplier business reviews with strategic suppliers. Maintain knowledge of market trends, global supply and demand impacts, and leading economic indicators.
Responsible for identifying cost savings & value creation opportunities and the implementation of programs to actualize these savings.
Implement process improvements; increase operational efficiencies, ensure data accuracy, compliance, and positive customer experience
Work with key business partners and category leaders to identify and prioritize sourcing initiatives and/or contract negotiations that enable business priorities, reduce Iron Mountain’s total cost (TCO), and mitigate supply chain risk
Manage stakeholder engagement (internal and external) throughout the initiative, effectively delegating activities and tasks to drive process to completion
Provide regular updates, report on progress and expected results to business area leadership
Coordinate contracting process for agreements through legal, risk, IT, Finance and other impacted business functions as determined to represent the business needs of each function in order for decisions to be made by Adjacent Business leadership
Leverage process teams, applications and tools to identify best approach for handling operational transactions to lower administrative costs, add accountability, controls and drive efficiency
Influence revenue accrual by executing strategies focusing on speed to completion in those areas that will influence timeliness of revenue collection
BS or Master’s Degree
8+ years experience in a large scale corporate Technology department
Knowledge and experience in sourcing, negotiating, contracting, analysis, project management and leading an area in implementing new supplier agreements/programs
Has significant experience some or all of the following: Cybersecurity, Salesforce licensing and related toolsets, Cloud, including structuring cloud agreements (AWS/GCP/Azure), application development, and Telecommunications / Networking.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder
Strong written and spoken communication, familiarity and proficiency with brief writing, and strong presentation skills. Financial modeling is a bonus.
Systems: Google G-Suite, Microsoft Office proficiency specifically Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with procurement systems including Oracle ERP, RFX/Auctioning technology, etc.
