The Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site support at our Jessup imaging center as well as supporting our remote imaging site(s) and FISMA central Hub.

This role requires an experienced IT professional with a proven record of accomplishment to support this fast-paced and high volume environment. Reporting to the Project Manager for Global DS Service Operations, this individual will be the on-site lead for the Service Operations team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support including hardware/software management related to imaging and local network/access.

Key Accountabilities:

The range of activities and tasks to be undertaken by the System Engineer, Global DS Service Operations (NA) include:

  • Daily maintenance activities to ensure all IT operations run smoothly.

  • Daily support for the local imaging center and FISMA central environment.

  • Responsible for proper daily escalation of issues and off-hour on-call support(Monthly rotation).

  • Work to improve existing standard processes and develop comprehensive controls to monitor productivity, quality, and SLA adherence based on industry proven best practices.

  • Responsible for successful on-boarding of new DS customers and change requests for existing DS customers

  • Ensure constant systems/solution availability to meet project SLA’s

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Identify & Troubleshoot Windows 10, Server 2016, SQL Database, networking and Active Directory.

  • Installation of hardware and software products on-site

  • Deploy/troubleshoot Kofax(imaging software) Batch class deployment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders and IT teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a member of a team and through cross functional initiatives.

  • Ability to plan strategically and have strong organizational skills

  • Triage, prioritize and escalate client tickets in a timely manner

  • Willingness to work with numerous deadlines on a wide variety of initiatives in an environment where priorities may change quickly

  • Network management and support- some knowledge of switches, routers and firewalls

  • Basic SQL scripting/queries and PowerShell scripting experience desired

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or universityor 5+ years of IT industry work experience

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (or related certification)

  • A+ and Network+ Certifications

  • ITIL v3 foundation and practitioner certification

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply and will be subject to a Government clearance investigation

Travel:

  • Limited travel up to 15%
