The Iron Mountain Data Center Network Operations team is seeking technically talented, customer service oriented, and motivated individual to join our Network Operations team in Boyers, PA. The NOC Operations Analyst is responsible for accomplishing business objectives within the NOC and IMDC Operations Division by supporting key operations applications and interfaces, maintaining customer access to critical data by configuring and troubleshooting the customer portal, and by maintaining existing/configuring new monitoring thresholds and heuristics. This role will drive technical excellence in event monitoring, response and escalation, service request management and performance, and customer communications by effectively administering the systems providing those capabilities. The Operations Systems Analyst serves as the subject matter expert on all aspects of their assigned systems, interfaces, databases and monitoring, and insures the reliability, timeliness and accuracy of the data presented to the Operations teams and customers.
Identifies project requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing operations; determining project scope; documenting results; gaining department and customer consensus.
Develops problem solutions by describing requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications; implementing solutions.
Develops project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
Verifies results by completing tests.
Prepares customers to use system by conducting training.
Provides reference for customers by writing documentation; providing support and help.
Maintains systems by researching and resolving problems; maintaining system integrity and security.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Must be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
Must be able to effectively operate all shifts, and operated independently without the supervisor or manager
Ability to define process improvement objectives and work independently
Superior communication skills (verbal, technical writing/technical presentation, and interpersonal skills)
Strong customer service experience, with a knowledge of all clients, their needs, and specific requirements
Must have the ability to take a proactive approach to key responsibilities while exercising the ability to independently make decisions "on the fly"
Must have critical thinking skills and the ability to take logical approaches to problem solving
Must possess the ability to work with or without direct supervision and follow documented procedures
Subject matter knowledge of facility monitoring, event management and escalation, incident response and trouble shooting, and data center operations
Subject matter knowledge in ITIL based ITSM tools and processes
Subject matter knowledge in Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools and communication protocols such as Modbus and BACNet
Subject matter knowledge in network topologies and monitoring systems
Subject matter knowledge in database schemas and data integration methodologies
Subject matter knowledge of data center critical facilities equipment and function.
Must be able to work in a 24X7 shift environment with a flexibility to work diverse schedules
AS or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or the equivalent of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology, application or systems administration
Prefer that candidate has ITIL Foundations Certification
