Iron Mountain Lead UX Designer in Raleigh, North Carolina

We are seeking a user experience designer to execute this key function across our global suite of websites and digital channels. The ideal candidate will bring expertise, experience, passion and innovation to the role which focuses on user-centered experience across our digital ecosystem.

This senior-level position plays a role in all areas of design and usability as it affects our web and mobile applications. The user experience designer will work closely with customers to understand goals and needs to create documented concepts and prototypes, for both large and small projects.

This role reports directly to the Manager, User Experience Design and works closely with cutting edge UI developers, visual designers, usability, accessibility, and QA practitioners to help revamp the user experience for Iron Mountain’s main critical customer facing applications. The UX design will be leveraged by virtually all applications at Iron Mountain.

Key Responsibilities

  • 70% Wireframing (Figma)

  • 10% User Research (Contextual Inquiry)

  • 10% Usability Testing (UserZoom)

  • 10% Accessibility Specifications/Testing)

Critical Skills, Experiences

  • At least six years’ experience of information architecture and user experience design and testing for web and digital properties, particularly on larger instances in a commercial environment

  • Proficiency leading contextual inquiry (user interviews, affinity modeling) and usability testing

  • Proficiency creating highly interactive prototypes (preferably Figma)

  • Knowledge of designing for accessibility (508, WCAG 2.1)

  • Experience leading project/product design efforts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team, and leadership

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and deliver high quality output in a timely and consistent manner coupled with the ability to self-direct

  • Membership of a relevant professional body is an advantage

  • A portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions

  • Knowledge of Nuxeo is highly desired

  • Dashboard visualization design highly desired

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX design, or equivalent experience
