Reporting to the Director of Salesforce Architecture and Delivery, Data Centers, the Salesforce Platform Manager is a newly created role that will be a key Information Technology change agent in the Iron Mountain Data Centers journey. We are seeking a hands-on technology professional to help drive platform development, design, and data integration efforts, further expanding and improving our existing global Salesforce platform that covers the gamut of opportunity and pipeline management, configure, price, quote (CPQ - Conga / Apttus), contract lifecycle management (CLM - Conga / Apttus), billing, and revenue management (Conga / Apttus).
This person will ensure the delivery of strategic and tactical business objectives. The Salesforce Platform Manager will work alongside our business partners and other members of the Salesforce team with strong executive support and visibility.
The candidate will possess the necessary balance of business process understanding and automation capabilities coupled with hands-on leadership and execution. In addition to expert-level development capability, the Salesforce Developer and Designer must have the ability to design systems, processes, and procedures that scale to meet the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the organization. Moreover, they will need to build relationships across all layers of the organization.
Assists with Salesforce org strategy, architecture and design across all of Iron Mountain Data Centers
Leads and executes Salesforce and Conga (Apttus) development and design (CI/CD)
Works closely with the IT Leadership team to influence improvements to systems, processes and integration
Develops and maintains productive relationships with business stakeholders and partners across the enterprise
Assists with establishing architectural best practice/standards and the right level of technical governance to help accelerate development/operations of state-of-the-art solutions
Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc. in order to lead strategic business direction of the department
Executes hands-on architecture design
Assists with the creation and management of multi‐year roadmaps for Salesforce platform to ensure Iron Mountain benefits from Salesforce releases.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
5+ years of technology experience with 2+ years in Salesforce technologies and 1+ years in Conga (Apttus) CPQ, CLM, and Billing / Revenue
BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Security or related field or equivalent experience preferred
Intermediate to advance level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including both Sales and Service Cloud.
Intermediate to advance level understanding of the Conga (Apttus) Quote to Contract, CPQ, CLM, Billing, and Revenue Recognition suite of solutions.
Experience in building and updating complex X-Author Excel Apps & X-Author for Word Contracts and Templates
Experience designing enterprise dashboards and reports for large data sets
Must be committed to a culture of continuous improvement (CI/CD)
Strong understanding of Declarative vs Programmatic customizations. Emphasis on Lightning Flow (Screen, Autolaunched, Trigger, Scheduled) over traditional APEX (classes, triggers), Visualforce and Lightning Component Framework.
Experience in all phases of the SDLC including analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration, maintenance, and Quality assurance testing.
Ability to lead technical design sessions; architect technical solutions aligned with business objectives; identify gaps
Strong understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
Ability to digest the functional requirements dictated by the business stakeholders and apply the best solution available leveraging the complete Salesforce Platform developer toolset.
Excellent Communication skills
Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
One or more of the following Salesforce certifications or proven similar experience is highly desirable; Application Architect Certification, Data Architecture and Management Designer, Sharing and Visibility Designer, Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder
High level working knowledge of SaaS and cloud based business process applications
Ability to work in a fast paced, high tech environment juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations and manage distributed teams with competing priorities with tight deadlines
