Job Description

The Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team at Iron Mountain offers its customers a strategic approach to IT asset management that protects their data, ensures optimized use, maximizes their return on investment, and minimizes the environmental impact. Iron Mountain’s ALM services include configuration, imaging, Inventory management, decommissioning, data erasure, remarketing, reclaiming, and recycling to recover value.

The Teraware Product Manager role will be a part of the Asset Lifecycle Management team at Iron Mountain.The Iron Mountain Teraware product is a data sanitization platform with the ability to scale from a single laptop to the largest of hyperscale data centers. The product development started in 2014 and now has a proven track record having cleared data from millions of drives to date. The product can gather inventory of all machines with attributes down to the quality of individual drives.

The Product Manager will perform product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

The Product Manager is expected to:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap.

  • Deliver Marketing Requirements Docs (MRD) and Product Requirements Docs (PRD) with prioritized features and corresponding justification.

  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.

  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.

  • Perform competitive analysis.

  • Act as a leader within the company and help develop ROI input for investment opportunities in new products and services.

  • Coordinate and aid in prioritization of new products.

  • Develop plans to enable a global multi-lingual sales team to effectively present the product with technical materials, lunch & learn sessions, demonstration materials, and FAQs or Knowledge bases.

  • Provide pre-sales support for sales calls.

  • Assist in the planning and management of data center decommission jobs that use the Teraware platform.

  • Manage certification efforts of the Teraware product.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.

  • 10+ years of experience in a job in the technology market

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Technical background

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Must be able to travel both domestically and abroad on occasion.
